06/25/2009 Yes
The view very much impressed us and it was quiet and cozy. The hotel was a little stuck in the 1980's but great linens on the beds and very comfortable beds.
Great value for the money, but I wouldn't pay full price for it, thanks Skoosh!

06/25/2009 Great views and location, friendly Canadian service,
clean rooms, quiet building, nice pool and really fast
elevators. The fastest I've ever seen.

Needs work on its free wireless system.
We had to do a wall plug in. But the free apples
in the lobby made up for it. Good times.

06/25/2009 The Hotel is nice enough and fairly well located in Victoria,B.C.,Canada....but the Front Desk & Service was a bit haughty, requests were always less than gladly done & the construction & large Conference meetings put much of the 'Public Rooms' off limits to mere regular Guests.
Not a place you feel particularly welcome in & they charge $10 per day Parking on top of the high prices.

06/25/2009 We booked a queen room with harbour view for a Thursday night and called to confirm the reservations. I was told that the reservation was for Tuesday night but then they found it under Thursday. I called back the next day to see if they still had it on Thursday and they said yes for a king harbour view. When we got to the room we had a view of the pond out a small window but if you squeezed behind the chair and craned your neck you could see the outer harbour a little. When I mentioned it the the desk clerk, she looked at me with a blank stare and said " Oh" and smiled but didn't offer to correct it. The Inn was undergoing remodeling and was not very clean. I would have rather stayed at the Days Inn .

06/25/2009 I would recommend it to others for it's accomodations which are nicely appointed and above average view. My stay was a little disappointing because there was construction going on and there were construction workers walking around my balcony with a lot of added noise. This hotel is a little off the beaten path but has easy walking access to all the famous attractions. I stayed in room 233 and a tree blocked the view of the Empress Hotel. So if you want to see that hotel from your balcony, don't take that one.

06/25/2009 Oh my gosh from the minute we arrived they were at our beck and call. We LOVED the room a wonderful view. We didn't ever close the curtains. They were so nice to us. The room was to die for. Thanks to Skoosh for helping us afford such a wonderful room at a great location. I will always book through you. Paula

06/25/2009 My husband and I stayed at this hotel because of the good off season rate we got through Skoosh.com. We were concerned about our 4 night stay when we arrived to find the hotel under construction with jackhammers so loud we couldn't hear the desk clerk. We expressed our concern and asked for a free upgrade to the south wing which reviews said was far superior to the standard rooms in the north wing. We got our free upgrade, and found our room to be the nicest one we have ever stayed in. The room was large, with a balcony overlooking the harbor and the Japanese garden. The beds were luxurious with the deepest mattresses we'd ever seen. We had asked for a microwave, which was delivered promptly. We prepared several meals in our room. (Food prices at the hotel were outrageous.)
Stay in the south wing! Eat elsewhere.

06/25/2009 We had a beautiful room right on the water. What a great value especially in Victoria. Nice breakfast buffet in the cafe'. The staff was also friendly and helpfull. All within walking distance of Victoria's attractions, but far enough away from the traffic. Would definately stay here again.

06/25/2009 Great hotel, great location! A very short walk from the Victoria Clipper dock. We stayed in the older part of the hotel; very clean and comfy beds. A simple room, a little stark, small tv, small fridge. Little balcony with a great view of the inner harbour (room 341). They offer Aveda toiletry products - very cool. We did not eat in the restaurant, but did have a drink late one night in the quiet lounge - it had a beautiful view and great service, but was quite pricey. Easy walking distance to everything downtown, we had not rented a car and never regretted the decision. Took a bus to Bitchart Gardens - it was wonderful. Skipped the expensive tea at The Empress.

06/25/2009 We expected a luxury hotel and this was more like an older holiday inn. The carpet in the halls was stained, the beds were extremely hard with cheap linens, our bathroom floor wasn't clean and the balcony had cigarette butts and looked like it hadn't been swept in months. We were shocked based on reviews we had read and thought that maybe only part of the hotel had been updated. The two Hampton Inns we stayed at in Vancouver were much better quality than this hotel!
