A beautiful old world hotel with good facilities (restaurants, lounges, workout), but room sizes very, very small and very old fashioned decor. We were on the 11th Floor in what was described as newly renovated on a premium floor. We had to pull out light plugs to plug in our laptop and phone chargers, as there were very few accessbile outlets. The hotel lacks wifi, requiring a plug-in to access internet, and they charge a considerably higher premium than other hotels of this magnitude, many of which now offer free internet. The bathroom was small too, and did not seem particularly well appointed. The oddest and most inconvenient issue were the closets, which did not have standard hangars on a parrallel bar, but instead went from front to back making it hard to see and choose one's clothing for the day. The bedding was very nice. The staff was very nice. The concierge was excellent. And of course the location can't be beat. So in the end it depends on what is important to you. We had a great deal, considering it was Toronto International Film Festival, compared to other 4* hotels, but frankly, for the money, the room should have been bigger and more up to current standards.
