Went to Münster for a day of churches and Christmas markets and it's the perfect city for that! The St. Paulus Dom is incredibly gorgeous and the Treasury is well worth the €2 entrance fee, spanning across three floors. The iron cages hanging on the outside of the belltower of the Lambertikirche, in which heretics were put in the medieval times till the flesh peeled from their bones, were an awesome sight to behold in real life. The Friedenssaale is a stunning example of woodwork and at a €2 entrance fee not too bad for your wallet either. The Altstadt is cute, quant and picturesque but a bit small: after 5 hours in the city we were ready to go home. You could probably spend 2 days there if you're willing to pay a bit more and visit the museums.
