Stayed at the Filoxenia twice now, the location cant be beaten, Poppy, Stellios and the team are brilliant. The resort is good and the people very friendly, we would definately go back

We have just come back from a fantastic holliday at the Filoxenia beach hotel in Tsilivi. The sea views are beautiful and we would sit out on the balcony in the evening and watch the sunset. The owners Poppy and Stelios are very friendly and welcoming. We wondered around Tsilivi and without question felt we were in the best accomodation on the island, even compared with posher hotels. For us it was a case of 'location, location, location!'

This accommodation was recommended to me by a lady from the BBC. Absolutely beautiful to watch the sunrise and set on this beautiful island. We loved to sit on the balchony at night with a glass of Solomos wine and listen to the sea. Poppy and her husband were really friendly and helpful and I can't wait to book up again.

The location is perfect, but that is all. Very sober interior and not a lot of comfort. The bathroom is old-fashioned and small. With 1.5 burners it is hard to prepare a meal. Stayed with 4 adults inside a double room is not pleasant, if you ask me. Be sure to explore the island by car. There are beautiful towns, pretty restaurants. We will not stay here again.

We had a lovely holiday. The apartment is well maintained and everything that you might need is there. A perfect location, if you open the doors of the porch, then you have a great seaview. Cosy and hospitable people. Within walking distance are some cosy restaurants and shops. So we had a true holiday here.

Good apartment next to the sea. A bit empty though, but everything you might need is there. Do not expect to be able to cook there yourself, because it is almost impossible. A huge touristic town with almost only British guestss. So please go explore the island. It is so much more beautiful than the town itself, with only hotels and restaurants. Dafni Beach (where the turtles go to) is a brilliant beach with rest and beautiful views. No British tourists here. Explore the island and look at the many beautiful lunch joints and restaurants on the road with breathtaking views. Tsilivi is a good operating base then, but that is all.

In August me and my partner spent 8 days here. Manos Grill is a good restaurant, where you can get tasty meals, you have to pay a little more, but it is worth it. I recommend the boat trip at Tsilivi Beach (40 euros), when you make this trip, then you definitely will see the turtles and the "blue caves" from up close. Other big boats will just pass it, but they can not enter the caves, because of their length. I believe it is called Levante speedboat trip, do it! We had a great holiday! If you treat the people there well, then they will do the same. Very helpful people and with a good sense of humor. Friendly owner and perfect personnel. The cleaning was pretty good too. Not all restaurants are that attractive, but restaurant Edem was very good though. Good service and very good food. We only saw friendly and helpfull people in this city. Always prepared to give some information or up for a normal chat. The British are everywhere (just like the Dutch), but luckily there are not many Russians here.

The view and the location were great! Not all the things were as great though. The owner was not friendly and his sidekick was not too friendly either. The apartments were not very clean and the mattress was very uncomfortable. Apart from that, a complete place. Lovely blue water, but the beaches were not all that. Tsivilli was British oriented, a lot of neon lights, big screen tv's and soccer all day long. All the restaurants claimed to be the best and they almost dragged us inside. I did not like it. Zakynthos is not the cleanest island in Greece.

Directly near the beach, cristal clear water, a lovely view. Clean and well kept. The food at the beach bar is great. Twohundred metres further at Stamnes, great food as well. I can recommend it!
