07/09/2010 Just a few days before we arrive, the propriator-manager of Paliokaliva called us to inform us that she wants to cancel our reservation because, as she admitted herself, she made a better deal with a tour operator. Keep in mind that we had made the reservation and had deposited a part of the money 5 months earlier! Usually in an occasion like this, the manager finds a hotel equal or even better to accomodate us and also pays the extra money needed for the new accomodation. Instead, the Paliokaliva's proprietor-manager suggested us some terrible hotels which we didn't like and disagree to stay there. After a lot of discussions we had with the manager, she finally told us rudelly "either you choose the hotels i am suggesting you or take your money back".
As our reservation was for the first 2 weeks in August (when it is the high-season)we couldn't find a decent hotel, plus we couldn't easily change ferry tickets and of course our leaves.
Paliokaliva's manager just ruined our vacation!!
