We stayed at the Caravel for one night only, on our way back to the US. The rooms were small but not tiny, not luxurious by any means, but quite clean. Beds were good.
We left too early to try the breakfast, so I cannot rate it. There is WiFi for 1.5 euros per half hour. The signal in our room was strong, but the front desk said that this is not true for all room locations. If you don't have a laptop, there are a couple of PCs in the lobby available for the same hourly rate.
For what it offered, I thought the price was reasonable. Caveat emptor -- I have no other Rome hotel stays to compare to this one.
