10/18/2011 We carefully tried to book a quite peaceful place where we were slightly away from the bustle of the lakeside and had somewhere we could relax during the day. Unfortunately, what we were not told when booking this 'peaceful' bungalow was that they are building next door (with cranes going up nearby) so were woken up at 8am by drilling/hammering and this continued to 6/6:30pm at least every night, so we spent our days trying to avoid spending time at the bungalow, defeating the point of hiring it in the first place.
This was not recognised by the owner because we did not complain enough apparently and because we had already bargained with her on the price. But we would NOT have gone if we had known about the building.
Also - though this has many mod cons- there was no air con or even fans to help keep cool. And they are selling off some of the land, so we had potential buyers having long discussions next to our 'private' pool, until we asked them to move.

12/30/2009 Deze bungalow is in juni 2009 gebouwd en ligt tegen een berg aan het Como-meer. De eigenaren wonen een "terras" hoger. Het is ingericht met 2 slaapkamers, 2 badkamers, een uitgebreide keuken, flatscreen tv met satellietontvangst, op het terras een jaccuzzi en een grote tuin met gazon en (onverwarmd) zwembad. Wij zaten in de winter en hebben het zwembad niet gebruikt, wel de jacuzzi: heerlijk! Het ligt wel heel steil tegen de helling aan, en om er te komen moet je een steile oprit af en op! Eigen parkeerplaats voor de deur, een wasmachine is er ook. Internet is ook te regelen. Nadeel: vanuit het huis nauwelijks te wandelen, vanwege de steile weggetjes. De prijs is behoorlijk, maar het je krijgt er ook wel wat voor! De eigenaresse spreekt Italiaans en Frans, en helpt je met al je vragen. Prachtig uitzicht over het Comomeer! Van hieruit is Milaan ook goed te bereiken, evenals het prachtige stadje Bellagio. Veerdiensten vlakbij, winkels en restaurants in alle dorpen rondom het meer.
