04/25/2012 The village is quiet and is the perfect look into local culture, and your cottage is just out of the way (so private), with lots of space outside to have fires, camp, relax etc. You have complete privacy here and the cottage itself is absolutely beautiful! Having your own space to cook is also a huge plus and Suraj is the perfect host who will take care of anything you need during your stay. You could easily live in Back Space for months and months....

12/28/2011 In December 2011 I spent one night in this wonderful cottage. I can highly recommend this place. It's very cosey and very okay for max 2 persons.

06/01/2011 The cottage is very cozy and luxury and located in a beautiful environmen. Beautiful view on farmers working on their lands and the mountains in the background. It's a very nice landscape, very suitable for mountainbiking (f.e. to Nagarkot, Dhulikel, Panauti and Banepa. Sometimes steep ascents and also descents but doable, also for beginners. It's possible to make a campfire in front of the resort, cool!

05/05/2011 I 100% agree with Stevej245! What can I add? If you are looking for a place to stay, where you are the only tourists around - this village is definitely for you. The cottage's location is fantastic - it is a 1hr. bus ride away from Kathmandu, close to Nagarkot (great viewpoint from where you can even see Mount Everest) and the magnificent city of Bakhtapur. It is also a perfect start for walking or biking tours. Last but not least: the host is someone to remember for the whole life; thank you for everything, Suraj!

05/03/2011 What a wonderful secluded haven, I could live in this property it was the best accommodation i stayed in during my visit to Nepal. A friendly village, beautiful scenery 1st class amenities. A fantastic host in Suraj who is eager to help in any way possible. Cannot express how special my stay was. Fond memories, Highly recommended. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Thank you.

05/05/2011 Where can I start? The cottage itself was really comfortable, clean, prettily furnished and light. The bed had a mosquito net, and I can't even describe how happy the warm shower made us.

The view was just breathtaking, and the yard has a place for grilling and some chairs. The surroundings are nice and quiet, especially after being in Kathmandu. There is an old couple living in a small house next to the cottage, but they were polite and nice and didn't bother us.

The best thing was getting to walk around the village and go sight-seeing with Surraj, because he knows a lot about the places, he's a fun guy and really takes care of his guests. We went to a local restaurant for dinner and I swear their veggie thukpa was the best I've ever had (and really cheap too)!

The only downside was the big scary spiders in the cottage, but if you're going to Nepal that's not really something you should even care about.
I'm definitely going back some day, I wish Mike & Surraj all the best!
