We began our honeymoon in Panama with two nights at the Gamboa Resort. We would recommend three or four nights as the ideal length of stay. There are other great things to do and see in Panama but we certainly enjoyed this resort. The monkey tour was excellent, as were the massages in the Spa. It's an expensive place but that's partially because they employ a lot of people. Their seafood restaurant is closed on Mondays (bummer) and their main restaurant, Corotu, has a good buffet but the service and quality of food overall are not a good value.
This is an enjoyable resort where the good far outweighs the bad (if you have the money to enjoy it).
