Reviews Hotel Mundial ****

The walls are paperthin. Don't let them put you under the restaurant or next to elevators. My room was unacceptable b/c it was right under the main restaraunt and across from the elevators - so loud at 10:30pm the TV couldn't even cover the noise. The Manager lied and said they were all bull but in actuality there were open rooms b/c eventually they moved me...had to pack up my stuff and move at 11pm when I could have (and should have) been moved earlier in the afternoon when I asked to move in the first place.

Extra pillows in closet were still covered with dirtly pillow cases.

The safe in the room does not have a lock on it - you have to pay extra for that. They should not be able to say the rooms come with safes.

Would not recommend, especially for the money.

The Mundial definitely met my expectations and I would recommend staying at this property. The room was comfortable and sightseeing was easy from the hotel's GREAT central location. When returning a rental car, having an Avis rental car outlet located right in the hotel made the drop off quick and convenient. The Mundial offers excellent value for the money.

I would definitely recommend Hotel Mundial to others. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and rooms are very clean. The hotel is centrally located and makes sightseeing or just walking around the city very easy. My expectations were surpassed and I plan on staying there on future trips to Lisbon.

Calls itself 4 star. Low 3 star rating.

Clean but not very comfortable rooms.

Location is good for walking and public transportation. Due to 1 way streets cab fares tend to be high.

It would not be 1st choice but it is clean and safe.
