04/28/2012 From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm smile. Since it was late, and our journey from the states was long we decided to rest. The next morning we woke to a splendid breakfast. This is where we met Hettie. She is just as charming and friendly as her husband. Every morning Hettie and her staff created an amazing breakfast from sauteed mushrooms, delicious bacon, eggs any way you like em’to a plate full of fresh tropical fruit. Hettie even made blueberry pancakes. I loved them so much she made them for me another day. Each day my mouth watered in anticipation wondering what would be for breakfast!
After our filling breakfast, Derik chatted with us about St. Lucia. He kindly gave us a map and made suggestions for outings. The one day we drove to Cape Vidal, Hettie supplied us with beach towels and snorkeling equipment. St. Lucia is indeed a magical place, but Hettie and Derik made our stay special and memorable. Their warmth, hospitality, and generosity cannot be compared.
