Perfect location right in the heart of the Santa Cruz barrio, and the hotel itself is a gorgeous old building with exposed wooden beams, intricate molding and marble floors. Probably the most beautiful breakfast room I have ever seen, and the buffet is good too. Rooms are small-ish, but not impossible.
BUT--- noise carries, given all the marble and the age of the building (i.e., no soundproofing). I was on the 2nd floor and could hear everyone entering the lobby (so higher floors are recommended), all the doors on my floor closing--and someone in the room next door snoring; that was a first. There were two groups of American college kids also staying there, and I sense that the fantastic location and relative cost of the hotel draws the collegiate crowd on a regular basis. They were very sweet and polite, but of course noisy and energetic (they too loved Seville!)
The street the hotel is located on is too narrow for taxis, so be sure you have suitcases with rollers--it's only a 5-minute walk, but carrying heavy items through streets already busy with tourists could be a real pain.
