We came to Mahmutlar in 2004 and fell in love with the village and its people, so much so that we bought a plot of land and built Villa Janet on it .
The village is very picturesque with many parks and a lovely new Promenade with lots of places to sit and take in the views. One of the best views is definately the Sunsets which after 7 years we still adore.
The village has everything required for a great holiday, lots of varied shops and a very vibrant market twice weekly, here you can buy a Kilo of beautiful Strawberries for around 2 YTL = 80p.
The bars offer good value for money and many provide entertainment. In the village you can still eat out very cheaply in a lot of the restaurants and the Turkish Dishes are well worth trying.
I say to you Brits, come on to Mahmutlar, the undiscovered Gem of Alanya Turkey
