06/25/2009 It has gotten a little overpriced and busy, but remains a fantastic hotel to experience SF as a tourist. Great service, fun/new decor, and close to a lot of sights.

06/25/2009 The hotel had a very cool nautical theme with large rooms and everything was very clean. The location could not have been better and the staff couldn't have been friendlier.

06/25/2009 We loved the decoration of the hotel. Their staff is very kind and friendly. The room was big, clean, and beautifully staged, and the bed was really good too. If you like to sleep until late hours of the morning remember to place the "Don't Disturb" card in the door… we forgot it and every day the cleaning lady knocked the door and wake us up... well, it wasn't that bad, she helped us to get up so we can enjoy more time the splendid city of San Francisco. We were waiting to see more new devices in the room, like plasma or LCD TV, or an IPod compatible sound system, but not complain it was great. The location is excellent, just a block from Fisherman's Wharf. We definitely will stay there again next time we go to San Francisco.

06/25/2009 Good value for a nice boutique hotel... parking is scarce and hard to come by... convenient valet is very expensive for a night. Restaurant was closed due to a private event so hotel very busy and the street was packed with cars/people. Not recommended if you are looking for an area with quiet, relaxing environment to to being next to fishermans warf.

06/25/2009 I would recommend the Argonaut to anyone wishing to stay near Fisherman's Wharf. It is conveintly located across from the bay and across the street from the trolley. The Ghirardelli chocolate factory and restuarant is also just a short walk through the park.

The hotel was quiet and very clean. The little extra's like the umbrella and bathrobes, which were free to use as needed, were greatly appreciated. The beds were very comfortable although they may be a bit soft for some people and the Sony flat screens were nice. The Nautical theme gave the hotel a unique feel.

Overall the staff was great (bell hops, room service), but some of the front desk staff were not very friendly. It was the attitude of these individuals that resulted in a very good rather than an excellent rating. The value was excellent at $200/night.

06/25/2009 service was impeccable. location is superb. within walking distance to many attractions and fine restaurants. interior rooms are undesirable due to lack of view. ask for bay view and enjoy
