Reviews Hotel Loews L'Enfant Plaza ***

I would highly recommend this hotel to friends. The service was friendly and efficient. The location for visiting DC was easy walking distance from the Smithsonian and other sights. If walking is not an option, the hop-on hop-off bus stops right in front of the hotel. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the wait-persons were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed out stay----bedding was also very comfortable.

some of its rooms and public areas are getting a little worn and could stand some updating. The staff, however, was great as were the convention services and meal functions. Having a Metro station in the basement of the hotel is an added plus, particularly for people visiting Washington for the first time. The location just off the Mall and near the museums can't be beat.

I love the location of this hotel in DC. you can walk to the mall and monuments and smithsonian. the metro is under the hotel. very convenient. there is a great lobby bar that serves great food reasonably priced plus a coffee bar and lobby store. great value. had requested a queen/king and when i arrived they had us in a room with 2 double beds. that was not acceptable to me but they finally got us in a beautiful room with a king. i thought i was at least guaranteed a queen but they said no, my skoosh reservation only was a request. i didn't like that being up in the air. but thankfully they gave me a great room.

I found the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel to be great value for the money in Wash DC which is very pricey. The location was excellent - we walked to most Smithsonian Museums, the National Mall, etc. The hotel was also a stop for a night tour of the monuments - very convenient.

We found the restaurant and pub food good and the prices were reasonable. The hotel is located over a metro stop and there were many shops & restaurants on that lower level.

I would definitely recommend this hotel & plan to stay there again on any future trips to Washington DC.

Could use some renovation.

The hotel was located above a metro station and a block from the Smithsonian, but the service level was very poor. The person at the coffee stand got my rather simple order wrong every day. We were unable to check in even a few minutes early despite having requested to do just that and having been caught in a horrible downpour. We were scolded for napping in the lobby while we were waiting for a room.

Perfect location for seeing the sites on the mall and getting on the Metro. Only 2 stops to Nationals Park. Only stayed one night - room was fine, nothing great, but comfortable. Construction was going on from 4 pm - 8pm. Annoying, but I was not really in the room for long. Not near restaurants or night life, but great for what I came to see (sites and baseball.)

I recommend the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel is a great place to stay, the only item I would have liked was to have internet access in my room for no additional charge. Seems a bit odd to pay $11 for a days access to the internet in DC at a 4 star hotel that one is already paying a relatively large amount of money to. Other than that it was a good value. All expectations were met except for the pool as it was not working either and there was no compensation for this. The pool was one of the reasons we stayed.

This hotel was located very close to the national mall and all of the museums(2 block walk to the smithsonian castle) The pool was nice and the service at the hotle was very good. The bed were very confortable. We were able to get a compilmentary frig that help keep waters and beverages cold. One negative was the restaurants in L'Enfant buildinghad limited hours and no restaurants near the hotel. The hotel restuarant was not in our price range, so we had to take a bus to an area with more eating options. Overall good location and not bad price for this hotel
