The Fairmont Hotel chain is a good brand ---but the Washington, DC Fairmont is in need of a facelift. Specifically, the bedding is on its last legs ---and very uncomfortable. The room tvs are small, old and not up to par. Carpeting, too, should be replaced....and man;y of the rooms need to be repainted. The first room we were assigned to is directely across the street from a major construction project ---with jackhammers starting around 7:00am.
The staff is courteous and helpful...but they don't have enough hotel to work with at the moment.
Right now, I would NOT recommend this hotel.
